Chemical Agent Detection Using Fluctuation Enhanced Sensing
Under the support of ARO, we developed a hardware portable chemical analyzer. The prototype can simultaneously collect 4 channels of sensor data. The hardware contains power regulator, analog-to-digital converter, low noise amplifier, and pump. The flow of pump can be controlled via software. The principle of our system is based on Fluctuation Enhanced Sensing (FES). We have also applied FES to 5 other applications, including Surface Raman Spectroscopy, nanoparticle film sensors, new 2-sensor concept, zero-crossing analysis, and enhancement of Taguchi sensor for chemical sensing. More than 10 papers were presented and published in conferences and journals. We also filed 1 invention disclosure.
