Pan Sharpening of Multispectral Images
Conventional pan sharpening methods cannot maintain consistency in color. See image (LANDSAT) below (left). The pan-sharpened high res region has color distortions as compared to the low res image. Color distortion will introduce false alarms in change detection and anomaly detection. Our approach preserves color consistency and will hence minimize false alarms in change detection and anomaly detection. See image (LANDSAT) at right. There is no color distortion in our pan-sharpened image. See image below.
